Žajbelj je tisti, ki ima v pijači »glavno besedo«, saj njegova priprava zahteva največ pozornosti in skrbne priprave. Uporabljamo samo najboljši žajbelj na svetu - dalmatinski.

Med

Salvia Melliflua is a liqueur made on the basis of carefully selected and in natural habitat picked sage of the most precious flavour. The main ingredients - natural lemon juice, honey and sage - give the drink a specific aroma, colour and flavour, which hardly leaves us ignorant. Sage is the one which has the major role in the drink, for its preparation has to be most taken care of.

An interesting fact is that already the Ancient Greeks cherished sage as a sacred plant. In the Middle Ages is was believed to make people immortal. Also the Chinese believed that the one who consumed sage, lived longer. For this reason Dutch merchants in the 17th century got three boxes of tea for a box of sage.

The two remaining major ingredients are also salubrious. Combined in a top-level spirit with addition of a carefully protected secret, all three form a flavour, which attracts again and again.

Before pouring the liqueur, a bottle needs to be mildly shaken. The reason is that after a day or two of reposing, a characteristic honey sediment can be seen at the bottom of a bottle holding the aromatic drink, which is a result of the fact that honey is poorly soluble in alcohol.

Salvia Melliflua should be enjoyed at a room temperature.
